IN & Out – Teleperformance, Italian branch of the multinational leader in the outsourcing Contact Center sector, for its operational headquarters located in via del Tratturello tarantino n. 2 in the Paolo VI district of Taranto, has an electricity consumption attributable to the operation of the operating site, the data center, lighting and air conditioning systems, of approximately 1,654 MW / year. Of this energy supply, the portion coming from energy from renewable sources from the Distributor, Enel, is currently approximately 37%. To meet the requirement n. 3a of the Puglia Region on the production of part of energy from renewable sources, Teleperformance plans to implement, within the investment period of the Voice First Project, the two actions, described below.

ACTION n. 1: Implementation of a photovoltaic system for “OPEN OFFICE SUSTENIBILITY”.

The Energy Sustainability Project of the office dedicated to the Voice First Project involves the construction of a photovoltaic system for the use of the renewable energy source represented by solar energy. The use of this technology allows to:

• obtain compatibility with architectural and environmental protection needs;
• avoid introducing sources of noise pollution;
• save on fossil fuel consumption;
• produce electricity without emissions of pollutants.

To date, the production of electricity is almost entirely from thermoelectric plants that use substantially fossil fuels. Therefore, considering the estimated energy as production of the first year in 11 091.86 kWh, and the annual loss of efficiency equal to about 0.90%, the following considerations apply to the life time of the plant equal to 20 years. A useful indicator to define the fuel savings resulting from the use of renewable energy sources is the conversion factor of electricity into primary energy [TOE / MWh]. This coefficient identifies the T.E.P. (Tons of Oil Equivalent) necessary for the realization of 1 MWh of energy, or the TOE saved with the adoption of photovoltaic technologies for the production of electricity.

DELIVERABLE ACTION N. 1 – PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

ACTION n. 2: Monitoring and increasing the acquisition of the share of energy from renewable sources of the energy taken from the Distributor’s network for the entire In & Out site in Taranto.

In & Out intends to significantly increase the portion of energy from renewable sources withdrawn from the Distributor’s network, currently ENEL, passing from the current approximately 37% to 75% of the kWh required by the users present at the Taranto site in via del Tratturello tarantino 2 by the date of completion of the Voice first project investment. Finally, a monitoring system for energy consumption and the production of energy from renewable sources will be installed inside the office dedicated to the Voice first project.

Increase from the current 37% to 75% of the share of energy from renewable sources acquired by the distributor for consumption at the In & Out site in Taranto at via del Tratturello Tarantino n. 2
